Frequently Asked Questions
-
Where are you based?I am a Belfast girl, born and bred, but now live in Bangor by the sea with my husband, daughter and two pets.
-
How can I find out if you’re available on our wedding day? Please complete the contact form and I shall be in touch with my availability and package options!
-
Do you provide your own equipment?Yes, I supply all my own sound equipment. All I need is a seat (without arms) and a socket and I am good to go!
-
Are you open to performing with other musicians on our wedding day?Yes! I love collaborating with other musicians and have played many weddings with string quartets, such as Ionian String Quartet, Arco and the Ulster String Quartet as well as playing and singing with Ruth Corry Harpist.
-
We are thinking of having our wedding outdoors, will this be ok?Any form of damp air will affect both my voice and guitar strings, so as long as I am not being rained on or blasted with cold winds, it’s a green light from me! Should the weather not be on your side, however, I request that I am placed in a covered area so to prevent any complications with my sound equipment.
-
We have a song that we love but it doesn’t feature on your list. Can you learn it?Yes! With every wedding, I gift each couple one brand-new song, should it not already appear on my song-list. After this, there is a small fee per new song request. I need a minimum of 6-weeks’ notice on learning new music, so that I can make the cover uniquely my own.
-
Do you play at religious weddings?Yes I do, and I am non-denominational when it comes to the churches I will provide music in, with an ever growing selection of beautiful hymns and worship songs to choose from. Raised in a religious home, I am now a Humanist, but respect everyone’s personal beliefs.
-
Do you play at same-sex weddings?Absolutely I do. I believe in equality, respect and compassion for all human beings and see love for exactly what it is in its simplest form; love
-
How far will you travel for weddings? So far the furthest I have gone to sing for a couple’s big day is Vietnam! I have performed at destination weddings in Spain, Portugal, Malta, Italy and Scotland so far. Being a one-gal-band with a parlour sized guitar means that travelling with my instrument is not as complicated as you may think. The furthest I am willing to drive, without requesting for a night’s accommodation added to the fee is 3hrs each way.
